1) Introduction
Humans and animals: to kill or not to kill.
There is a variety of issues including animal
experiments, the fur trade, vegetarianism/veganism, endangered species, killing
wild animals for fun, fox hunting, shooting animals for trophies, the dangers
created by humans: cars, pollution etc. Many of these causes have found support
from a wide-range of people, affecting lifestyles as well as opinions. We are
beginning to realise that animals have their own claim to this planet,
independent of their use to the human species.
